We made it. We Finally Made It!!! And as Andy pointed out, we made it the whole way (over 2,800 miles) without any tickets or "incidents". Yay!
We left A&A's house at about 9:40am and we rolled in to W'ton at about 9:40pm. We did, however, stop at Duke University in Durham to see the campus. We walked around for about 45 mins. It is really a beautiful campus. All the buildings look like castles and there are plenty of trees to make it look very welcoming.
We stopped at a random exit along the way and had some authentic BBQ. What else would you expect from a former "Princess of Pork"?
I also really liked the Smokey Mountains. Asheville, NC is a really pretty town. It's at the base of the Smokeys. The eastern half of the US sure is a lot more green than the South West.
I'd write more, but I'm pretty tired now. We close on the house tomorrow and the movers are scheduled to come at about 2pm. And yes, David, everything is going according to the spreadsheet...much to Andy's pleasure.
