Daddy's Old Clothes

Today, MVP wore an outfit that Andy's mom made for him when he was a toddler. He looked so cute in it that I just had to post some pictures. Thanks, Carol, for the adorable outfit!!

Happy Father's Day, Andy! I'm so glad you are MVP's dad. He certainly loves you very much and I'm so grateful for the many ways we are able to raise him together. In your honor, I have created a Prezi. I hope you enjoy it.

Memorial Day 2011

For Memorial Day, my sister, brother and his family all came down from Tennessee and we had a lot of fun together. We went to the beach and MVP, in particular, was thrilled to have lots of cousins to play with. The weather cooperated and we were able to spend the better part of two days at Wrightsville Beach. (I will post beach photos later.) The kids had a lot of fun playing in the sand and learning how to boogie board and skim board. We even took a stroll around downtown to see the Battleship and the river front.

Ty was especially fun to watch interact with MVP because he would literally let MVP push him around the house. That may well have been what caused him to seek higher ground.

We also spent one day hanging around the house playing Angry Birds--not the video game, but a version we made up which essentially involves homemade "birds", targets and a giant sling shot. Here are a couple shots of Ty launching a bird and Brianna making a sweet catch.

Most of the family went to see Kung Fu Panda 2 while Amy and I took MVP to the Children's Museum and the Orange Street Arts Festival. At the Children's Museum, MVP went shopping and I helped him check out at the register. He loves that place!!

We also spent a little time at the park where, again, MVP was in HEAVEN playing with his aunties, uncle and cousins.

Fortunately, we were able to help celebrate Amy's birthday by having a fondue night (or two). It was so delicious and while I took the below picture about half way through, you can tell that we had plenty of dippers and there was no short supply of things to dip either! Yum!!! I felt bad for those who may have been on a diet, but I got over it quickly.

Tickle Tickle, Part 2

So MVP has learned how to tickle our toes and he makes the cutest sound when he does it. Like Big Foot, It's hard to catch him on film, so this is the best footage (no pun intended) we have so far. Turn up your speakers because he tickles softly. This will probably remind you of a previous post I did about him tickling toes. I'm not sure which one is cuter!!
