Beijing Olympics 2008

The Olympics are going to be in Beijing this summer. In preparation for the momentus occasion, Beijing has made a lot of changes. Aside from building large, long walls in front of old, run-down villages that have probably been there for hundreds of years, they have built some impressive-looking Olympic facilities. We saw the swimming facility and the "bird's nest"--which is where the opening and closing ceremonies and the track and field events will be held. The swimming facility looks REALLY cool at night--as if it's covered in glowing bubbles. I'm sure you'll see plenty of it on TV this summer.
